Inspired by chicken fillets, Revoβs βEl Polloβ is made from fermented, meaty mycoprotein, just like their otherΒ REVOlutionary productsβ¦ is there anything this mycelium canβt do?!
Rich in fibre and protein, as well as being gluten free, cholesterol-free, and low in sugar, it is neutrally flavoured and seasoned, making it the perfect blank canvas for all your chickβn-y needs! It has a slightly firmer texture than some other mycoprotein chickβn weβve tried, which we think is for the best, as it holds up well in various cooking methods!
We think itβs best when fried in a little oil for 4-5 minutes on each side, so that it really crisps up, but see below for more tips. Serve in katsu, pasta, pies, burritos, tacos, and more β use wherever vegan chicken is called for!
